Head in the (Experience) CloudWhat do marketers have in common with Ryan Reynolds and Kristen Bell? More than you might think — including a passion for innovative digital solutions. As keynote speakers for Adobe Summit 2022 (the world’s largest digital experience conference, NBD), the stars were definitely a highlight — along with a slew of updates announced for Adobe Experience Cloud.
These are the Experience Cloud innovations we’re most excited about:
With Adobe, everything is an experience. (And we wouldn’t have it any other way.) The updates announced at Summit 2022 will continue to fuel the creation and delivery of immersive experiences, setting your brand up for success in the metaverse and beyond.
TL;DR: At its annual summit, Adobe announced new personalization tools to better help your brand create and deliver immersive digital experiences. Group Glow UpsFacebook trends come and go. A decade ago, we were sending each other pokes. Today, we're joining Facebook Groups, which are nothing new for Facebook, but they’ve started to come back in vogue in a big way. Facebook Groups are an effective way for businesses to bring their community together, create long-lasting relationships, increase their organic reach and get valuable feedback from their customers.
In the latest set of updates, Facebook released a set of tools that will assist admins in growing their community. Facebook users can now be invited to Groups via email and a unique QR Code can be generated to direct potential new members to your Group's about page.
Additionally, admins can now enable automatic approvals (or denials) for membership based on specific criteria and use the updated overview page to review updates and gain better insight into the community. They've also given admins better moderation abilities by giving the option to filter out posts that may contain false info or temporarily restrict group members from participating. These additional tools will help you to grow your business’s Facebook Group, give you valuable insights on your services, provide a space for client testimonials and create champions for your brand.
TL;DR: Admins rejoice! Facebook has a new set of tools for Group admins to grow, manage, and moderate their communities. Use these updates to your advantage by inviting new members more easily, reviewing updates with more efficiency, and managing your community members better. What Lit Us UpOat of Your LeagueTurn up those headphones and cue the eerie music. The scariest thing about our new favorite true crime podcast? It’s dairy-free.
“Oatly Lake: Deep Waters” is a one-season, one-episode podcast. The fatal secret is it’s actually just an 18-minute ad for the plant-based milk brand Oatly. But in terms of branded content, it's at the top of our listening charts.
It begins like any true crime story — by setting the scene:
“In the heart of Northern Michigan, hidden in a dense cedar forest in the small town of Mesick, lies a little-known body of water called Oatly Lake.”
The Oatly team set out into the real town of Mesick to interview locals and discuss the folklore behind the lake and surrounding areas. Eventually, they are given a full tour of the lake from its proprietor. (Don’t worry, we won’t spoil the ending.)
Oatly’s brand voice and wit are apparent throughout the podcast— and strong enough to make you want to listen to 18 minutes of spooky, dairy-alternative folklore. (We can confidently say that’s a first.)
Content marketers are rapidly turning to audio with the introduction of sound-based social media, like Twitter Spaces and Clubhouse. Oatly’s genius lies in its ability to integrate tactical marketing into a well-known form of social audio: the podcast (and one of its top genres, true crime). So how can you utilize the power of audio in your branding? Whether you start by jumping on Twitter Spaces, launching your own podcast to showcase thought leadership, or creating audiograms to share on social media, don’t rule out audio as a great avenue to reach your audience!
TL;DR: Podcasts and other forms of audio content continue to grow in popularity so it may be time to consider how audio can play a part in your content marketing strategy. If oat milk can do it — anyone can! (Was this email forwarded to you? Sign up here.)
